Eggs and Toast.

Part of a trilogy for "Breakfast with Kenny and Accalia": "Eggs" and "Toast".

The final installment "Bacon" could be too controversial to air...

Return, Redux

For reasons probably best left unvisited, I'm back to square one on my final film. We've come to agreement though, Final Film 2.0 and I have a mutual understanding that neither one of us really want to be at square one, however we have accepted the fact we are, and are going to make the most of it.

On the positive side, I can think of another 'area of research-thesis' or expound on the one I had for the now defunct Final Film 1.0.

Closure - the Mock"me"mentary.

Taa-daa!

All pre-, shooting and post had to be completed within 24hours. Final time was 47hours. Over the course of that 47hours, I had the flu, had lighting problems, sound issues, rendering problems, and very little sleep.

"Closure" is (semi) based on truth, and (mostly) based on flu. It was shot entirely with an iPod Touch, a GoPro HD, and edited & mixed on the good ol' Mac without any colour correction whatsoever...

Closure.

I'm done.

As ominous as that sounds, it is a simple statement on my first (and final) year of a Film Production course which has seen me take on some new challenges, alongside plenty of old ones. If I was to surmise exactly what I got out of the whole experience, it would definitely be the ironic number of opportunities I had in my final 3 months of the course.

My final project for the year inevitably suffered in the lack of time working on a television commercial and interning on a film production caused, and in the end I had to toss something together (Caesar salad style) within 48hours. I managed to shoot, and do a quick job of post production in 47hours, resulting in what I like to call a mock"me"mentary.

Incidentally, Danny Shirran (the musician featured) recently won Yas Island's Rock Factory... so it's happy endings all around.

Link of "Closure" the mockmementary to come.

My Kingdom for a Camera.

February 1st, exactly two weeks until deadline, and the camera is still to arrive. It's in transit, somewhere between here and NYC. No doubt Dubai Customs have it, and are enjoying the time-lapse abilities. At least there's a sandstorm brewing - that way we can blame the hold-up on the weather and not the lack of equipment...
